What Projection stores
We store account details you provide, including username, display name, password hash, birth date, adult-content preference, characters, chats, memories, scenes, community activity, uploaded media, usage counters, and credits. Sessions may record a hashed network address and browser user agent for security.
How data is used
Data runs the service, restores your stories, applies content and usage controls, prevents abuse, and supports moderation. Public characters and posts are visible to other visitors. Private chats and private characters are only served to the signed-in owner.
AI and infrastructure providers
Prompts and relevant conversation context are sent to the model provider selected for a request. Current integrations can include Google Gemini, OpenRouter, and Pollinations. Cloudflare hosts the application, database, object storage, rate-limit storage, and operational logs. Those providers process data under their own terms.
Cookies and retention
Projection uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie for sign-in. Account data remains until you delete the account or moderation requires removal. Operational logs and provider records can remain for their normal security and reliability retention periods.
Your controls
Settings lets you download a JSON copy of your data, change your password, opt into or out of adult content, and permanently delete your account and stored media. Blocking and reporting tools are available on community surfaces.
Young users
Adult content is off by default and requires an account that confirms an age of at least 18. Projection is not intended for children under 13. Do not submit another person's sensitive information.
